Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026Gurbani Santhya (“the app”, “we”) is built to help you read and recite Gurbani. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking in the app.
Information we collect
None. The app does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, or any other personal data, and it does not contain advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
Data stored on your device
To work well and to support offline reading, the app stores a small amount of data locally on your device only:
- Your reading preferences (such as text size, translation and pronunciation toggles).
- A cache of Gurbani text you’ve viewed, so daily banis remain available offline.
This information never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed if you delete the app.
Content delivered over the internet
When you open a bani or page, the app requests its text and audio from our content providers so it can be shown to you:
- Gurbani text is fetched from BaniDB (© Khalis Foundation).
- Audio recordings and timing files are served from our hosting on Cloudflare.
As with any internet request, these providers’ servers automatically process technical information such as your device’s IP address purely to deliver the content. We do not receive, collect, or use that information to identify you, and we do not build any profile of you.
Children’s privacy
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
