Common questions

The audio won’t play

Playing a recording needs an internet connection the first time. If you’re offline, the text of banis you’ve already opened will still load, but audio will resume once you’re back online. Also check that your device isn’t in silent mode — the app is set to play in silent mode, but a very low media volume can still be the cause.

A page shows text but no play button

Audio is available for the banis and angs that have been recorded and calibrated so far; more are being added over time. Pages without a recording yet show the text only.

I found a mistake in the Gurmukhi or a pronunciation

The Gurbani text is sourced from BaniDB (© Khalis Foundation). If something reads incorrectly, please email us the bani and line so we can check the recording and alignment, and we’ll pass genuine text corrections upstream.

How do I use the word-by-word audio?

In a page with audio, tap any line to play from there; double-tap a single word to hear just that word for shudh pronunciation practice.
